Salomon: Men's Classic Snowboard Binding
A recreational freeride/freestyle binding that doesn't sell out performance to earn a value price.

While some recreational bindings force you to give up performance for value that isn't the case with Salomon's Classic Snowboard binding. This is a responsive design with a lively fiber baseplate that's excellent for all-mountain and suitable for freestyle. The Optistream highback on the Classic features Multi-zone padding that uses a 3D molding process with varied densities and thicknesses along the EVA so you have more padding against your boot where you need it and less thickness in the areas that require response. It sounds complicated but the Multi-zone gives you better (and possibly milliseconds quicker) energy transmission to your board's edges without leaving you with the sensation that your boot is in a vice. The 45% glass composite baseplate offers all the benefits of a more expensive polyamide baseplate but Salomon used a special "glass fiber overloading process" that gives the plate roughly 20% more rigidity. Whether you ride everything all day or you still can't make up your mind between a freeride or freestyle snowboard this season the Classic remains a practical choice at an affordable price.
