If this isn't the best all-purpose jacket ever then someone will have to tell me what is! If provides for layering over lightweight fleece layer for a trim fit and still is not constrictive or tight and allows for reaches you have to stretch to make. The underarm zips are unique and quiet useful. One way starting under the arm just above the elbow it is a pit-zip from the waistband at the side it allows access under the jacket without having to unsnap sternum pack strap and unzip the center zipper to access any pant pockets . The collar is high enough to act as a gasket or seal but is not binding...and again provides the right amount of space underneath to accommodate light fleece. The thumb loops provide the perfect seal between glove and jacket. Windproof great stretch well thought out features. Just replaced two other jackets in my gear closet. I'm 6'1" 210 lbs 45 in chest and 35 sleeve and the XL works as described above.

Overall a welcome addition to my closet. PROS Very soft wind resistant material. Snug but not tight athletic fit. Nice Colors CONS Only 1 pocket (come on guys how hard is it to put in two more much needed hand pockets?) Somewhat lighweight compared to other Windstopper Jackets like The North Face Apex Bionic but still keeps you warm in moderately cool temps. Zipper catch is on the wrong side of the jacket which always throws me off.

Very cool light jacket. I don't know how great it would be in very cool temps but paired with a base layer and the Mammut lightweight fleece this is a great product to use for "on the go" outdoor activities. Athletic fit and great quality from Mammut. I hope they continue with their apparel!
