I decided to buy some raingear after a friend purchased an EMS Deluge jacket. I didn't want to pay a premium to stay dry though so after trying out some jackets from other manufacturers I decided on the Columbia Thunderstorm Jacket. While I can say that there are nicer jackets out there this jacket is certainly a great buy. It performed just as well as jackets costing 3x as much when I wore it out in a recent downpour. The hood cinches snugly and has a slight brim at the top which surprisingly kept my glasses free of all rain even in a heavy rain. I know this jacket does have stitched seams rather than glued ones but I had no problems with any moisture getting in. It is a little bulkier then more expensive jackets but still compresses very well. It lacks vents under the arms but this is the only real feature I found it lacked and I so far haven't missed it. I would highly recommend this jacket especially at this price.

Thus is a GREAT Rain Jacket! Lightweight yet keeps the rain and wind out. Very durable! Highly recommend to those who work outside.
