Targeting the characteristics of a women's foot the slim fit style is knitted for lower foot volume narrow heel and high instep. An anatomical design with high density yarn in the Achilles-heel and ball of the foot provides extra protection and impact resistance. To prevent blisters Bridgedale's Woolfusion® hybrid sock yarn fuses Merino Wool with Endurofil™ fibers to move moisture away from the skin. For additional moisture management the women's Bridgedale Comfort Summit Sock is knitted with CoolMax® from the ankle to forefoot as well as at the cuff. The women's Bridgedale Comfort Summit Sock is made for use with full-height high volume footwear.

I have Bridgedale socks with me every where I go. They stay in place have just the right cushion and never bunch up. My feet are happy no matter what shoes I wear. I have bought these socks for my husband and our hiking partners. Highly recommend.

Extremely pleased with these extra thick socks. They go with me on my ski trips to wear out to dinner at night. I also wear them with my winter boots to church at night because it is so cold.They really do the job of cushioning my feet and keeping them warm. I am a sock collector and never knew socks could be as posh as Bridgdales. These are luxury for your feet. Don't miss out on this experience for your feet. Put these in your winter survival pack.

Love the Bridgedale line of socks. Have not tried this one yet on the slopes but so far it does not itch when I tried it on.

The first time I wore these socks was on a hike in the Grand Canyon. They performed above my expectations. The sock stayed where it was supposed to and the cushion helped my feet from taking a beating. My whole family will be hiking the Grand Canyon from rim to rim and we will all be wearing these socks. I would recommend these to anyone.

Bridgedale are a little more expensive (understatement) but well worth the price. Don't know (haven't used) any better socks
