Targeted asymmetric cushioning and breathability with anti-microbial and anti-bacterial technology.

When cruising up one of Colorado's Fourteeners your feet demand a sock that offers a balanced combination of cushioning and breathability. The Bridgedale Ventum Light Hiker Sock features deep anatomic and asymmetrically shaped cushioning that helps reduce weight and protects the feet. By targeting specific cushioning areas such as full boot height protection differential cuff protection and instep ridge padding the Bridgedale Ventum Light Hiker Sock for men offers phenomenal hiking and climbing comfort. Venting is addressed with sculpted open mesh throughout the sock to promote cool and dry feet. Bridgedale uses Be-Fresh with Aircell™ sock yarn technology which impregnates the fiber with 11 minerals resulting in an anti-microbial anti-bacterial anti-fungal and deodorizing sock. Aircell is a patented process that allows its effects to last for more than 3 years. Bridgedale's Woolfusion® hybrid sock yarn fuses Merino Wool with Endurofil™ fibers to move moisture away from the skin for all-day comfortable dry feet. The Bridgedale Men's Ventum Light Hiker Sock is ideal for multi-day backpacking adventures and endurance pursuits.

I wore these socks hiking in the Northern Wisconsin area in October. It was pretty much wet all day - however the socks kept me dry. That was a test hike for this year big hike in the Sierras. I definitely bring 3 pairs so I can swap a pair during lunch time - to keep my feet free from blisters.

I am a huge fan of Bridgedale socksthey are what I wear backpacking hikingeveryday. The one and only problem I have with the Ventum Light Hikers is it doesn't stay in place like all my other Bridgedale socks. They slip down and "shifted" during my hike. I won't give up on Bridgedale but I won't recommend these to my friends.

Wore these recently trekking in Kauai and could not be more happy. Paired well with goretex Merrell midheight boots -- a nice waterproof breatheable combo. Nice padding and dries quickly. Don't know yet about durability.

I have several other styles of Bridgedales and this is one of the lightest yet cushioned sock I have. I just wish they were a little longer up the calf to add support.
